TANTRA AND CHEMSEX: RECLAIMING CONSCIOUS PLEASURE

Recently, I read an article that left a deep mark on me: the testimony of a man from Murcia, a former chemsex addict. His story is clear and terrifying — sex had become a mechanism of addiction, a world where drugs dictated connection and pleasure stopped being natural, turning instead into compulsion. As he said, “The level of dependency is so high that sex itself feels pointless without drugs.”

Chemsex reflects something much broader: our society teaches us to seek pleasure at any cost, often through external stimuli that disconnect us from ourselves. The message is universal — when we lose connection with our bodies, we lose freedom.

This is where tantra becomes a powerful antidote. It’s not about complicated rituals or superficial eroticism, but about learning to inhabit the body with awareness — to feel pleasure fully, without relying on external substances. Tantra teaches that sexual energy is life itself, and when we channel it with presence, we can experience connection, pleasure, and well-being in a sustainable way.

That same philosophy inspires #DatingDespacito, a new event co-created with my dear friend @kundaliniyoganomada— a space for meeting and connecting without drugs or instant validation, guided instead by the natural rhythm of presence, breath, listening, and authenticity. There’s no rush, no consumption, no masks — only balance, empowerment, and a deeper connection to our own bodies and desires.

Educating the next generation in this way means offering real alternatives — teaching them to own their pleasure, to enjoy their bodies without addictions, and to build conscious, healthy relationships.
Because true pleasure cannot be bought or imitated — it must be cultivated from within.
